JOHN DEERE “WORKING” :30 COMMERCIAL

This was a really fun spot I got to shoot second unit on for John Deere.  I grew up riding off road motorcycles and first got into the industry by being a photographer at motorcycle races, so this job was right up my alley.  We shot it at the C2 Ranch in Southern Oregon, which was an awesome location.  It’s the first time I’ve heard an AD yell to the crew “I need everyone to back up from set, we have a momma bear and cub coming through”! No joke, it came right through our set in the field at the end of the spot.

My job was to go out and get a lot of the actions shots while first unit was working on the special effects clips.  I’d hop in a tiny gator with a giant camera to get car-to-car shots while my AC, Josh Parks, laid down in the back to pull focus and go for one bumpy (and dirty) ride. It was great fun!
